Our History
The foundation of “Punjab General Industries Pvt. Ltd ” was laid in the year 1970 by setting up of its first Rolling Mill
in Faridabad, Haryana and Registered Office in Naraina, New Delhi. Before the year 1999, it was a partnership concern under the name of “Punjab
Industries”.
Since then, there has been no looking back and it, now, represents various steel manufacturing activities.

Commissioning of First Induction Furnace – 3 MT Capacity
1999
Company converted to a Private Limited Entity from a Partnership Firm
2012
Commissioning of First Continuous Casting Machine 6/11 Radius with Mould Electromagnetic Stirrers.
2014
Received Approval for Manufacture and Supply of Fishplates to the Indian Railways
2019
Plant capacity – 80,000 MT P.A.
2020
Commissioning of New Ladle Refining Furnace and Vacuum Degasser completed.
2021
Restarted manufacturing of Bottom Poured Ingots through LRF&VD route.
2024
Plant capacity increased to 90000 MT P.A.
